Regular Ice Machine Cleaning and Maintenance

10-Step Ice Machine Cleaning Method

1. Turn off the ice machine

2. Remove all ice from the ice machine

3. Remove internal moisture

4. Wipe away mold, bacteria, etc., from storage crevices

5. Fill the reservoir with clean water

6. Add ice machine cleaner

7. Restart the ice machine

8. Discard all newly created ice

9. Clean the inside of the ice machine a second time

10. Reuse

If you have a large container to hold the ice, it will be easier to clear the ice.

Thoroughly clean the crevices inside the ice machine.

Use a clean towel to wipe it down.

as a magic eraser contains abrasive components, they can remain in the ice machine

and become harmful instead.

This can cause small particles of metal to come out.

After thoroughly cleaning the interior,

pour ice machine cleaning solution and clean water into the reservoir.

If internal cleaning of the ice machine is completed,

announce a ban on its use, allowing time for ice to be regenerated.

Secondary Ice Machine Cleaning

After new ice is generated, dispose of it as a second step.

Though the manufacturer claims it’s harmless even when ingested,

due to the chemicals mixed into the ice formed,

for safety, it’s advised to discard it a second time before use.
